Valenzuela City, January 29, 2024 – The 3rd Paraiso Ni Baste Swim Series, dubbed as “The End Game,” concluded with a wave of excitement and achievement at the Paraiso Ni Baste Resort and Hotel located at Canumay East, Valenzuela City.
The competition, boasting a state-of-the-art 50-meter pool with 6 lanes, was organized with the collaborative efforts of Swim League Philippines and the Manila International Alliance Swimming Coaches United (MIASCU). The Paraiso ni Baste Swimming Team, led by coaches Ronald Frio and George Castro, played host to the event. Cherifer, Mad Wave Philippines, and Splash n Dash generously sponsored the meet, ensuring its success and vibrancy.
Technical officiating was in the capable hands of Coach Ronald Nicdao, with Mr. Marvin Villa serving as the resident referee of SLP. The meticulous encoding and provision of official results were expertly handled by Coach Emer Matienzo of philswimming.com.
The event kicked off with a warm welcome from Swim League Philippines President Fred Ancheta, who extended his greetings to the participating teams. President Ancheta also took charge of announcing and awarding the Most Outstanding Swimmers in various age groups later in the afternoon.
The outstanding swimmers who took home the honors included Candice Dale Donaire, Allessandra Hequibal, Juan Mateo Garcia, Jacob Michael Blanco, Kade Versys Baluyut, Ethan Manuel Elimos, Sinagtala Cuevas, Sebastian Josh Literado, Hanna Rafflyn Sale, Cj Valenzuela, Karylle Abigail Duquez, and Caster Roy Carag. These young talents showcased their skills and determination in the pool, earning recognition for their outstanding performances.
With the sun shining brightly, the host team treated the technical officials to a delightful breakfast, lunch, and merienda, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere throughout the competition.
A total of 17 teams participated in the meet, each contributing to the event’s success. Acquathlete Swimming Club, led by Coach Cris Acaso, secured the 3rd Runner-Up trophy and a cash prize of P2000. Carmona Angel Fish Swim Team, under the guidance of Coach May Carmona, claimed the 2nd Runner-Up spot, along with a cash prize of P3000. Flying Lampasot Swimming Homer, coached by Ada Diaz, emerged as the 1st Runner-Up, taking home a trophy and P5000 in cash.
However, it was the Paraiso Ni Baste Swimming Team, mentored by Coaches Ronald Frio and George Castro, that stood victorious, earning the Champion title and a substantial cash prize of P10,000.
The meet concluded at 4:00 pm, leaving the participants and attendees in high spirits. The 3rd Paraiso Ni Baste Swim Series undoubtedly left a lasting impression, celebrating the talent and sportsmanship of young swimmers while fostering a sense of camaraderie within the swimming community.
